Rest in Peace 2020

vWe pray for Father Joseph Haugh, Doonbeg & Daughnieve, Coolmeen who died on 4 April 2020 aged 88 years

Fr Joe is predeceased by his brothers Senan & Richard and deeply regretted by his brothers John (Castlebar), Fr Gerard (England), Tom (Coolmeen)his sisters Carmel Moloney (Kildysart) Sr Anne (England), family, parishioners & friends.

Fr Joe was a priest of Killaloe Diocese for 63 years.  He was a past pupil of St Flannan’s College, Ennis. He studied for the priesthood at St Patrick’s College, Maynooth and was ordained in Nenagh on June 16th 1957.

His first appointment was on temporary Mission to the Diocese of Brentwood in England and on his return in 1963 he was appointed curate in Kilmaley, Co. Clare.  He moved to Corofin, Co. Clare as curate in July 1978. He was appointed Parish Priest of Cross in July 1989 and in July 1995 he became Parish Priest of Doonbeg. He retired as Parish Priest in July 2008. He was appointed A.P and continued to minister in Doonbeg until 2019.

To allow people to pay their respects, the funeral will travel through Doonbeg parish tomorrow, Sunday 5th April, and people invited to stand outside their own houses (ensuring social distancing) as it passes. The approximate times are: Bealaha at 1.20pm, Doonbeg at 1.30pm and Clohanes at 1.40pm.

Fr Joe’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 12noon and will be streamed live on the Doonbeg Parish Facebook page. Due to the public health emergency attendance at the Funeral Mass will be limited to family.

We pray for Senan Mann, Erribul who died on 14 February, 2020.
May the Lord grant him eternal rest and console all who loved him

Senan will repose at St Benedict’s Church, Coolmeen from 6.30pm to 8pm on Saturday.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sunday at 12.30pm followed by burial in Coolmeen.

Senan’s months mind Mass will be celebrated in St Benedict’s Church, Coolmeen on Sunday 22 March at 9.30am.

Michael was predeceased by his siblings, Patrick, Thomas, May, and John.
May the Lord grant Michael eternal rest and console his wife, Sarah,  children, Sarah (John) Pallas, and Thomas, David (Katie), and Daniel Grogan, his grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Noah, Evelyn, Liam, and Claire, his sister, Gertie Casey, his nieces and nephews and all who loved him
A months mind Mass will be offered for Michael on Saturday, 22 February at 7pm in St Mary’s Church, Cranny.

Margaret Meaney, RIP

We pray for Margaret Meaney, née Finucane, Newbridge who died on 14 January, 2020.

Predeceased by her husband Joe and daughter Margaret.

May the Lord grant her eternal life and console her family Mary, Claire, John and Joseph, son in law Eugene, daughter in law Bríd, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Margaret will repose at St. Benedict’s Church, Coolmeen (V15 DD71) on Thursday 16th January from 5pm to 8pm. Margaret’s funeral  Mass will be celebrated on Friday  at 12noon followed by burial in Kilmurry McMahon  Cemetery.

Margaret’s months mind Mass will be celebrated in St Benedict’s Church, Coolmeen on Sunday, 16 February at 9.30am.

Fran Harding, RIP

We pray for Fran Harding, Coolin, and formerly of Arrabeg, Carrig, Co. Tipperary who died on 12 January, 2020.

Predeceased by his son Shay.

May the Lord grant Fran eternal life and console his wife Sarah-Jane, parents Willie & Bridget, his brothers Alan, Declan, Brendan & Colm, sister Eileen, sisters-in-law Jan, Cathy, Connie, Fiona & Siobhain, brothers-in-law Michael, John, Darren, Tim & Keith, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Fran will repose on Wednesday at St Benedict’s Church, Coolmeen from 5pm to 7.30pm.
Fran’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am followed by burial in Drumcliffe Cemetery, Ennis.

Fran’s months mind Mass will be celebrated in St Benedict’s Church, Coolmeen on Friday, 14 February at 7pm.

We pray  for Mary Hanrahan (née O’Brien) Erribul & Ballymahon Co. Longford who died on 9 January,  2020 in her 94th year.

May the Lord grant Mary eternal rest and console all who loved her.

Mary will repose at Mullingar Hospital Mortuary Chapel on Saturday from 3pm with removal at 5pm to Ballymahon Church.

Mary’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11.30am on Sunday in St Matthew’s Church, Ballymahon followed by burial in Kilfidane cemetery, Coolmeen.

Mary’s months mind Mass will be celebrated in St Benedict’s Church, Coolmeen on Sunday, 9 February at 9.30am.
