Feast of All Saints – Wednesday, 1 November 2023

The Feast of All Saints is a holy Day of Obligation and is celebrated on Wednesday, 1 November. Mass for the feast in our pastoral area will be celebrated at the following times.

Cranny – Tuesday (vigil) 7am Coolmeen – Wednesday 9.30am Ballycorick- Wednesday 9.30am
Labasheeda- Wednesday 9.30am Kilmurry McMahon, Wednesday 11am
Kildysart- Wednesday 7pm,

This feast celebrates all those who have gone before us in faith and are now with the Lord in eternity. Where they have gone we hope to follow.

Tidy Towns 2023

We congratulate the members of our Tidy Towns groups and all the members of our community who work to care for the villages of Coolmeen and Cranny.

Both Coolmeen and Cranny were awarded additional marks in the 2023 reports and the work our volunteers and community were complimented. The reports also contain several helpful suggestions which will guide the work of our Tidy Towns groups in the future.

Confirmation- 10 June 2023

We congratulate the students from Cranny school who received the sacrament of confirmation this morning.

We thank Bishop Monahan for visiting our pastoral area to confer the sacrament and all who contributed to the liturgy and celebrations.

The Future of our Faith Communities

The Future of our Faith Communities.

After initial meetings in the East and West of the Diocese, Bishop Monahan will visit each Pastoral Areas to discuss the future of our faith communities and how best the available resources can be used in the service of the local Church.

The meeting of our Pastoral Area (Radharc na nOileán) with the Bishop will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 1 March in the Community Centre, Kildysart.

Pastoral Council members and everyone interested in the future of our faith communities are welcome to attend our meeting with Bishop Monahan.

Feast of the Epiphany – Friday, 6 January

Friday, 6 January is the Feast of the Epiphany which celebrates the visit of the Three Wise Men to the child Jesus and the revelation of the birth of the saviour to all people.

The Epiphany is Holy Day of obligation and Mass for the feast will be celebrated in our pastoral area at the following times:
